Message from Aetna:
Dear broker,
As we announced, after careful consideration and evaluation, Aetna CVS Health® has made the decision to exit the individual & family plans (IFP) exchange business as of 1/1/2026.
We value our partnership with you and are proud of our achievements in the exchanges since 2022. We remain committed to helping members make the most of their benefits in 2025 and will continue to support you and your clients throughout the remainder of the year.
Please read below for additional information on communications your clients should expect to see and items to be aware of in the coming weeks.
Information on upcoming member communications:
>Starting on June 6th, 2025, member letters will be mailed to all members currently covered by Aetna CVS Health® Individual & Family Plans.
>Letters will be sent in batches throughout June, with members receiving these letters from mid-June through early July.
>Messaging will be similar to the language found onaetnacvshealth.com. Please be aware that verbiage may vary slightly depending on the state the member resides.

What your clients should be aware of:
>We will work closely with our broker partners and directly with our members to connect them to other health plan carriers and plan options that meet their health care needs. Members can call the member services phone number on the back of their ID card with any questions they have.
>There are no changes to the members current plan for the remainder of 2025. The last day of active coverage will be December 31st, 2025.
>Members can shop for a new 2026 plan with another carrier during open enrollment. Any member that does not select a new plan will be automatically cross walked to another carrier’s plan.
>All medical and pharmacy claims with a date of service in 2025 will continue to be processed per the contract. However, claims with a date of service in 2026 must be filed with the new insurance carrier.
